German airline Lufthansa will begin equipping its pilots with the Surface Pro 3 tablet from next year, replacing the existing cockpit laptops. More than 5,000 tablets have been ordered, as well as special docking stations. The first tablets will be put to use in February and the roll-out should be completed by the middle of the year.
