One of the 18 DOOH screens in the Liverpool One shopping centre in the UK was attacked by hackers to read “We suggest you improve your security. Sincerely, your friendly neighbourhood hackers”. It was signed JFT96, a reference to the 96 football fans who died in the 1989 Hillsborough disaster. The screen was shut down almost immediately, and the incident is being investigated as a matter of urgency.
