Back a few years ago, around 2020, LG Display was selected by South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy to lead a national project on stretchable displays. The project, conducted in collaboration with 19 institutions, was to explore the commercial potential of these displays. LG introduced a prototype in 2022 with a display that could extend from 12 to 14 inches, maintaining 100ppi resolution.
