LG has shared more information about its upcoming Android 7.0 smartphone, the V20. It will, says LG, be the first smartphone to feature 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC (digital to analogue converter).
A Quad DAC is intended to bring digital sound as close as possible to a live performance. It is said to be able to reduce ambient noise by up to 50%. The feature also applies to videos taken with the V20, so – for example – a conversation at a party could be picked up.
LG worked with ESS Technology to develop the Quad DAC.
