LG First to Bring UltraHD OLED to Market

LG’s UltraHD OLED TVs, first seen at CES 2014 (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 3), are now available for pre-order in South Korea. The 65″ 65EC9700 and 77″ 77EG9700 use the company’s WRGB pixel architecture, possessing 33 million sub-pixels.

Both TVs can be wall mounted and are bundled with LG’s Ultra Surround sound system. They feature the WebOS Smart TV platform, and will be rolled out to Europe and North America ‘soon’.

LG will show the TVs at IFA, in hall 11.2.
