LG Display Invests in TADF

Kyulux

Image: OLED-InfoKyushu University of Japan spun off a new company called Kyulux last month, which aims to commercialise thermally-activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters developed by the university. Kyulux raised ¥1.5 billion ($13.5 million) in the process.

The OLED Association now says that LG Display has invested a further $2.8 million in Kyulux. Kyulux has also signed an agreement with Kyushu University to transfer 50 patents (partly purchased through the initial funding round).
