Lenovo and NEC have reached agreement to extend the term of their joint venture agreement to 2026. NEC Lenovo Japan Group, which sells NEC-branded PCs and tablets in the Japanese market through its subsidiary, was finalised in June, 2011 and initially had a five year term lasting until June 2016 (Display Monitor Vol 18 No 27). The period of the agreement announced today was extended by two years through to 2018 and automatically renews annually up to 30 June, 2026.
