Lenovo announced its FY17 annual and FY17 Q4 results with annual revenue at $43.0 billion and net profit at $535.0 million resulting in a net profit margin of 1.2%. The Q4 results indicated $9.6 billion revenue with net profit of $107 million.
The FY17 revenue decreased by 4.2% on a yearly basis given the dismissal revenue growth in the last five quarters. However, Lenovo saw its quarterly revenue growth resume as FY17 Q4 revenue increased by 4.9% on a yearly basis fuelled in part by a good performance in the PC/smart devices (PCSD) and mobile businesses.
While Lenovo’s PCSD FY17 revenues were down 2.3% on a yearly basis, the company continued to deliver strong results in the hyper-growth categories in this business, such as gaming, detachables, chromebooks and millennial PCs (in China).
