Beleaguered manufacturer, LeEco, will receive investments from several Chinese companies, including Tencent, JD.com, Lenovo and Suning, into its television business, according to Caixin. LeEco has been suffering from financial issues for some time. Chairman Jia Yueting recently refused a request from Chinese authorities to return to the country. Caixin also mentioned the possibility that a subsidiary of LeEco involved in the movie industry may enter a new funding round this year. Multinational conglomerate Dalian Wanda Group has been named as a potential investor.
