LEDs Put That Christmas Sparkle in the Air

We all remember the best Christmas traditions: stockings in the morning, the smell of turkey in the air, seeing the presents under the tree. No-one ever names ‘Hunting through a string of tiny lights to find that one dead bulb’ as a favourite memory, though! According to the US Department of Energy, LED lights last up to 25 times longer than their incandescent counterparts, and cost about $18 to run for 10 Christmas seasons – compared to more than $120 for incandescent bulbs.

Widespread LED use across the USA by 2027 could save $30 billion and 348 TWh of energy.
