News of a new Samsung phone, the Galaxy A7, has been leaked after being approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Centre.
According to the leak, the A7 – code-named the SM-A7009 – will have a 5.5″ display and 1920 x 1080 resolution. It will also be Samsung’s thinnest phone to-date, at just 6.3mm thick. A 64-bit octa-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor will run the phone, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. 4G connectivity will be built in, with Android 4.4.4 as the OS.
The A7 appears to be part of the Galaxy Alpha range (the Alpha was Samsung’s previous thinnest phone, at 6.7mm), but that is still unconfirmed.
