We don’t normally cover broadcast equipment, but just to highlight the development of support for HDR in the industry we though we would mention the Aja HDR Image Analyzer. The 1U rack unit has four 3G-SDI inputs with loopthrough and includes image analysis software from Colorfront. It supports Rec. 709, HDR ST2084/PQ and HLG analysis; there is also support for Arri, Canon, Panasonic, Red and Sony camera colour spaces. Features include display and color processing look-up table (LUT) support; automatic color space conversion; CIE graph, vectorscope, waveform and histogram tools; nit levels and phase metering; false color mode; advanced out of gamut and more with file base error logging with timecode for sharing.
Barco has put together a system comprising its very narrow bezel LCD video wall product, the UniSee is combined with a frame fitted with interactivity and a ClickShare CSE-800 unit to help corporates with ‘ideation’ or the creation of new ideas. The CSE-800 supports annotation, blackboarding and TouchBack out of the box.
Sunvalley, the parent company of Ravpower and Vava showed the new VA-LT002 UST HDR projector, which supports UltraHD at Gitex. The DLP projector is intended to create 150″ diagonal images at 0.5m distance. The unit has 2,000 Ansi lumens of output and supports HDR10 and UltraHD. There are integrated 30W Harman/Kardon speakers and the projector has a complete Android 7.1 system and has three HDMI inputs.
The IFP6560 and IFP7560 interactive displays which ViewSonic announced at BETT and Infocomm are now being made available in Europe at €4,619 and €7,259, respectively. (ViewSonic Tries BETT for the First Time). The units use the FlatFrog InGlass IR technology and have UltraHD resolution.
The company also showed in New York, the XG2402 which is a 24″, FullHD monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate and FreeSync support. The monitor has a 1ms response time and low input lag and a Game Mode feature built into the monitor optimizes visuals for FPS, RTS and MOBA games. The customisable 22-level black stabilization function helps gamers navigate through dark scenes, while maintaining the colours and contrast so gamers can see opponents in the shadows.
