Taiwan’s Economic Daily News claims that Apple will show new 13″ and 15″ Macbook Air models at WWDC 2016, next summer. The 11″ model will be discontinued, and the new editions will be thinner than any previous generation. They will be released in Q3’16, the source claims.

Canon has shared more details about its 4K500ST LCoS projector (Canon Claims World’s Lightest DCI Projector), which it first previewed in September. The unit will have a 1-1.3:1 throw ratio, able to throw a 3m-wide image from 3m. The lens features ultra-low dispersion glass and aspherical lens elements. The projector can show 4096 x 2400 video at 30fps or 60fps and includes features such as motion blur reduction, dynamic gamma and memory colour correction. HDMI (x2) and DVI (x4) inputs are featured. There are six different pre-set image modes (including DICOM Simulation) and three user-adjustable modes. Canon will start to sell the projector in April, for $55,000.

Lenovo has joined forces with peripheral maker Razer to launch co-branded devices. Special ‘Razer Editions’ of Lenovo’s Y Series premium gaming laptops will be produced, as well as a Lenovo Razer Edition gaming desktop PC. A prototype was shown at Dreamhack 2015 recently, and will be launched at CES.

Pocket-Lint has been told by Samsung that the company is leaving the digital camera, camcorder and related accessories market in the UK. A spokesperson said, ‘In the UK, we have seen a gradual and sustained decline in demand for standalone digital cameras and camcorders and related accessories’, adding, ‘This is a local decision, based on local market conditions’.

An 80″ model has been released in Sharp‘s PN-E series (Sharp Slims Large Displays). It is identical to the existing 60″ and 70″ models, aside from its size. The display is available now.
