Kyocera’s Displays Withstand Extreme Temperatures

Two new small TFT-LCD displays have been developed by Kyocera, for the industrial market. They are available now and can perform in harsh environments and extreme temperatures (-30° – 85°), as well as outdoors.

The 4.2″ display is the T-57152GD042H-LW-AAN. It has 480 x 272 resolution, with 700cd/m² of brightness and an anti-glare surface treatment. Contrast is 1,200:1 and the display has 160° viewing angles. It also features an 18-bit digital RGB interface. The design is based on automotive specifications; as well as the wide operating temperature, it has a storage temperature range of -40° – 95°.

Kyocera’s T-55923GD050J-LW-ABN is a larger 5″ model, in portrait orientation (480 x 640 resolution). It has 800cd/m² of brightness, a 500:1 contrast ratio and 140°/110° viewing angles. The featured interface is 24-bit digital RGB.
