Kyocera Corporation announced its fourth quarter and full year consolidated financial results for the year ended March 31, 2018. Net sales for Q4 FY18 were ¥432.02 billion ($3.91 billion), an increase of 5.9%, compared to ¥408.12 billion ($3.70 billion) reported in Q4 FY17. Net loss for Q4 FY18 was ¥8,478 million ($76.76 million) compared to net income of ¥32.99 billion ($298.70 million) in Q4 FY17.
Net sales for fiscal 2018 were ¥1577.03 billion ($14.28 billion), an increase of 10.8% compared to ¥1422.75 billion ($12.88 billion) in fiscal 2017. Net income for fiscal 2018 was ¥81.79 billion ($740 million), a decrease of 21.2%, compared to ¥103.84 billion ($940 million) in fiscal 2017.
For fiscal 2019, company forecasts the net sales of ¥1650.0 billion ($14.94 billion), an increase of 4.6% and expects an increase in profit due to sales growth and production cost reductions.
