Kyocera Extends Temperature Range of LCD Modules

Kyocera’s newest small LCD modules are capable of operation in temperatures between -30° and 85°. Measuring 4.2″ (T-57152GD042H-LW-AAN) and 5″ (T-55923GD050J-LW-ABN), they are designed for use in portable outdoor devices, which are often subject to adverse weather conditions.

The 4.2″ unit has a contrast ratio of 1,200:1 and brightness level of 700 cd/m². Resolution is 480 x 272, and viewing angles are 160°. The module features a 6-bit RGB CMOS interface.

Kyocera’s new 5″ unit is a portrait-mode display, with 640 x 480 resolution, a 500:1 contrast ratio and 800 cd/m² of brightness. Viewing angles are 140°/110°, and the unit features an 8-bit RGB CMOS interface.

Kyocera is selling the T-57152GD042H-LW-AAN and T-55923GD050J-LW-ABN worldwide now, through distributors. Price is on application.
