KVM Manufacturer Introduces New Matrix for KVM-over-IP

Whenever the best of the best meet, they strive for superlatives. Therefore, this year’s IBC once again aims at breaking all previous visitor and exhibitor records.

Watch, be amazed, experience – at hardly any other trade fair superlatives count more than at the world’s largest broadcast event in Amsterdam. German KVM experts and pioneers Guntermann & Drunck will be presenting their latest solutions for KVM-over-IP™ at stand 1.D39 from September 14-18, 2018. G&D will launch the ControlCenter-IP, a matrix system to extend and switch computer signals via standard IP-based networks on layer 3. Even the largest IT installations can now be easily scaled and implemented via IP access. With the DP-Vision-IP extender, which was introduced in 2017, and the brand-new extenders for KVM-over-IP™ DP1.2-Vision-IP and DL-DVI-Vision-IP, the central appliance ControlCenter-IP forms a strong KVM matrix that offers pixel-perfect video quality, high performance and maximum reliability for broadcast-typical control rooms.

The ControlCenter-IP fits perfectly into the existing portfolio and comes with all the popular features that broadcasters know from the classic G&D KVM matrices. Thus, the device provides functionalities such as monitoring and SNMP, scripting and scenario switching, push-get and CrossDisplay-Switching for absolutely intuitive operation at multi-monitor workstations.

ControlCenter-IP – the Team Player in Broadcast-typical Control Rooms

The ControlCenter-IP offers high interoperability and can be optimally integrated into existing media or broadcast control and monitoring systems to ensure uniform operation and to bundle and simplify multi-level, complex processes. Thanks to the integrated IP-Control-API, the ControlCenter-IP is able to communicate with the broadcast control system and can thus execute any switching commands. At the G&D stand, interested visitors can experience how the IP matrix system can be included in a typical broadcast control room application with control and monitoring systems.

What Else to Expect at the G&D Stand

G&D have also expanded their portfolio of classic KVM systems by launching six new versions of the compact matrix series ControlCenter-Compact. Current additions include expansion stages with 176 and 128 CAT ports as well as mixed versions with 32 fiber ports and 16/32/48/80 CAT ports. All systems come with the in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, which enables a lossless transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60 Hz. Thus, the entire ControlCenter-Compact series can be combined with DP1.2-Vision KVM extenders to extend and switch 4K video signals through the matrix – another highlight at G&D’s IBC stand. Thanks to the proven compression method, the compact matrix series delivers optimal, pixel-perfect image quality without sharpness reduction and therefore a latency-free operation.

Does it Go any Higher and Better?

If you are searching for superlatives, taking a closer look at the KVM extender DP1.2-VisionXG is indispensable. DP1.2-VisionXG is a powerful KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz – uncompressed and latency-free. The extender system transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers and will also be on display in Amsterdam.
