Korean Government Invests to Boost Digital Signage

Yonhap News Agency has reported that South Korea’s ICT ministry said Monday that it will spend 78.9 billion won (US$67.3 million) over the period to 2018 to develop the digital signage industry in line with its efforts to “foster new growth engines”.

The organisation will also encourage the elimination of unnecessary regulations. Just over 40% of the total money will be spent on the development of core technologies.

The Ministry was reported to have forecast a doubling of the global digital signage industry from $15.1 billion in 2014 to $31.4 billion.
