North Face is challenging customers to go on a high-octane adventure – in-store. The retailer is testing the use of virtual reality headsets to transport people visiting its NYC store to a remote hiking trail, up a cliff face, or plummeting off one in a base jump. The company hopes that it can get people excited about adventure – enough to buy some North Face gear, at least.
