What They Say
The first of the regional ISE events took place in Barcelona this week and Invidis went along and said:
“in many ways, the ISE’s pandemic issue somehow feels so normal“.
At the Gran Via exhibition center in Barcelona, ??it is the first ever exhibition since December 2019 and the event is one of the first post-pandemic (peak) live events in Europe. I also liked this comment…
“The FFP2 mask requirement is less disturbing in the conversation than that it is a challenge to recognize many well-known industry faces. Badges have become even more important, especially since the “head of hair” of many has visibly changed during the pandemic”.
Invidis said that visitors are in ‘four digits’ to the Barcelona event. Many industry experts from big companies were not at the event because of strict travel restrictions and so this was an ‘Iberian’ event.
What We Think
I liked the comment about badges. A friend of mine, many years ago, had a badge made that said “I’ve forgotten your name too”. It raised many a smile when people looked down at this kind of event! I’m not great with names, but at trade shows, most of the people I meet are on a company booth which helps me to put them ‘in context’. However, often people move company and that confuses me! (BR)
