Innolux Sees a Drop of 36.1% From 2021 to 2022 with December Numbers

Innolux Corporation (“INX”) today announced its December 2022 unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$ 16.1 billion, a decrease of 0.4% MoM and a decrease of 39.2% YoY, respectively.

During December 2022, INX shipped 9.75 million units of large-sized products, an increase of 6.3% MoM. Shipments for small and medium-sized products were 19.0 million units, a decrease of 3.8% MoM.

In 4Q22, INX reported unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$ 47.9 billion, a decrease of 40.0% YoY and a decrease of 0.2% QoQ, respectively; the large-sized shipments were 27.7 million units, an increase of 6.0% over the 26.13 million units shipped in 3Q22; shipments for small and medium-sized were 60.66 million units, a decrease of 11.6% over the 68.66 million units shipped in 3Q22.

In 2022, INX reported unaudited consolidated revenue of NT$ 223.7 billion, a decrease of 36.1% over NT$ 350.1 billion in 2021; the large-sized shipments were 121.2 million, a decrease of 18.3% over the 148.4 million units shipped in 2021; shipments for small and medium-sized were 280.4 million units, a decrease of 15.4% over the 331.6 million units shipped in 2021.

It’s not a fun time for panel makers, and while Innolux has made inroads into the car market, there’s also a likely downturn in new car sales for 2023 if the horror of 2022 goes unaddressed.
