Innolux Corporation reported a net profit for the third quarter of NT$7.3 billion ($239.9 million) on turnover of NT$113.1 billion ($3.7 billion), which compares with a net profit of NT$685 million ($22.5 million) on turnover of NT$97.2 billion ($3.2 billion) for the third quarter of last year. The company’s net profit for the first nine months of the year reached NT$10.5 billion ($345.1 million), compared with NT$6.5 billion ($213.6 million) a year ago, on turnover which fell to NT$313.7 billion ($10.3 million) from NT$325.6 billion ($10.7 billion). Innolux shipped nearly 8.3 million square metres of panel in Q3, a record high and an increase of 3.6% over the previous quarter. Small and medium-sized panel revenue amounted to NT$21.2 billion ($696.9 million), down 15.4% sequentially, while shipments reached 78 million units. In terms of product application, small and medium, mobile PC & tablet, desktop monitor, and LCD TV panels accounted for 17%, 17%, 15% and 50% of sales, respectively.
