Innolux was the world’s largest supplier of automotive displays last year, says NPD DisplaySearch. The company beat former leader Japan Display and rose ahead of Sharp, with a 24.5% market share.
Several European car makers have been “major customers” for Innolux’s automotive displays since its market entry in 2007, said president JC Wang. Media in Taiwan also said that Innolux has secured orders from US manufacturer Tesla; the order backlog is expected to continue until 2017.
