HTC Posts Lowest Monthly Revenues Since 2003

HTC reported revenues of NT$1.4 billion ($45.8 million) in July, a decline of 37.2% month-on-month, a drop of 77.4% from July 2017 and the company’s lowest monthly revenue recording since August 2003. In the first seven months of the year, the company’s total revenue came to NT$16.7 billion ($546.5 million), 54% down from the same period the previous year.

Despite recording net losses of NT$2.09 billion ($68.4 million) in the second quarter of 2018, the company recorded a net profit of NT$19 billion ($621.9 million) for the first half of the year, incorporating the proceeds of the sale of its smartphone business to Google.
