Hon Hai Precision (Foxconn Electronics) fared better than many Taiwanese manufacturers in April, reporting a record sales of NT$352.4 billion ($11.5 billion), up 4.2% sequentially and 19.7% higher year on year. For the January to April period, the company reported sales of NT$1.4 trillion ($45.8 billion) rising 16.1% YoY.
The company said that strong sales in April were mainly driven by its consumer electronics segment, while the computing and communication segments posted relatively flat sales.
Foxconn Technology reported sales of NT$10.2 billion ($333.2 million) for April, representing a 30.9% increase month on month and 150% increase YoY. Sales for the first four months of 2015 totaled NT$35.2 billion ($1.1 billion), up 132.1% compared with the same time last year.
