The first product that we looked at from Hitachi was the new SP-1 small UST projector. It’s based on 3 (0.45″) LCD technology with an LED light source and has a resolution of 1280 x 800 and brightness of (provisionally) 300 Ansi lumens. Lamp life is quoted at 10,000 hours and the projector has a zoom lens to allow images from 36″ to 50″. Wireless is supported through Wi-Fi dongles and weight is 1.2kg with dimensions of 265 x 198 x 65. More details will be confirmed nearer to shipment in 2015. We reported on the CP-HD9320 from the recent Technology Exposed event. At Gitex, staff were highlighting that it could also be used in portrait mode – a new feature for the company.
