Hannstar’s May Sales Fell 35.5%

Hannstar Display’s May sales fell 9.6% from the previous month and 35.5% from May 2014 to NT$1.3 billion ($42 million), bringing sales for the year to date to NT$8.1 billion ($262 million), 16.6% lower year on year. Shipments of small and medium sized panels decreased by 10.3% month on month to 20.8 million units, while large panel shipments were down 8.3% at 43,000 units. In the first five months of this year, Hannstar shipped 271,000 large panels and 123.5 million small and medium panels, declining 7.5% and 8.9% respectively from the corresponding period of last year.
