Two low-cost graphics cards, the Geforce GTX 950 and 950 Ti, are being readied by Nvidia. They will use the Maxwell architecture and are said to have comparable performance to the GTX 960.
Both units will be based on the GM206-250 GPU, according to early rumours. This GPU supports contemporary systems, such as DirectX 12.1 and OpenGL 4.3. HEVC encoding/decoding is also supported.
Precise specifications have not been shared. Speculation is that the cards will have between 640 and 1,024 stream processors, with a 128-bit memory bus. Pricing will apparently be sub-$150.
