Philippines-based telecoms operator, Globe, is using the Roku platform to deliver its Streamwatch player in its home country.
Under the “Roku Powered” licensing agreement, Globe will launch Streamwatch in the Philippines next month, taking full advantage of Roku’s operating system and user interface.
Globe Streamwatch will feature free and premium content across a range of genres including sports, lifestyle and fashion. Globe will supply subscribers with a Roku Streaming Stick—making it the first provider to do so—plus three months free access to streaming services including Netflix, Disney Channel Apps and HOOQ.
