Gaming Notebook Vendors Focus on Southeast Asian Market

Asus, Dell and Lenovo are among the gaming notebook manufacturers shifting their attentions to the Southeast Asian market this year, as the US market has become saturated, according to Digitimes.

Asus and its Republic of Gamers sub-brand reportedly holds over 20% of market share in the US in the $1,000-plus category, while Dell—who recently began cutting the prices of its gaming notebooks—has a 30% share of the overall market in North America. Meanwhile, Lenovo currently does most of its business in China.

According to the publication, demand for gaming notebooks in the Southeast Asia region is growing rapidly, with Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines named as major target markets.

Dell’s Inspiron 15 7000 gaming laptop features an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics card and an option for an Ultra HD LED touchscreen.
