Japanese media sources have said that Foxconn has made an offer of ¥625 billion ($5.3 billion) for Sharp (for previous coverage, see Hon Hai Linked to Sharp Buyout). The Japanese government is concerned about allowing the company to come under foreign control. Sharp is due to review a lower offer from the Innovation Network Corporation of Japan (INCJ).
