LG is the latest company to enter the ‘VR headsets that aren’t really VR headsets’ space, with its own take on Google Cardboard and the Gear VR. The VR for G3, predictably, is designed to hold the LG G3 smartphone, with a plastic body and lenses to enable a consumer VR experience. The rear key layout of the G3 should make controlling the phone slightly easier than other versions, though. Another point in its favour: while the Gear VR costs $200, LG is offering the VR for G3 visor for free to customers who buy a new G3 phone, in select markets.
