Foxconn is reported to have begun shipping the iPhone X. Chinese publication Xinhuanet.com reported that the first batch of 46,500 units is now en route to the Netherlands and United Arab Emirates.
However, another Chinese publication, the Commercial Times, reported that initial figures coming out of Foxconn indicate that stock of the iPhone X is going to be much tighter than previous models when it’s released on November 3rd.
Citing data from Rosenblatt, the Commercial Times went on to state that efforts from Foxconn, increasing production from 100,000 units per week to 400,000, still won’t be sufficient to meet the demand for the new smartphone.
Just days ago, we covered a report that production of the iPhone X had hit a bottleneck regarding the device’s TrueDepth camera system.
