Eutelsat has begun to broadcast the final seven matches of the UEFA European football tournament in UltraHD. Several partners are showing the matches, including Rai in Italy, which is using V-Nova’s Perseus codec. The matches are being filmed by 14 UHD cameras and sent to the IBC in Paris (IBC Chooses Apantac for Football Streams), then forwarded to Eutelsat’s Paris-Rambouillet teleport. Partners add live commentary in the local language.
