PMA Research has announced the top-selling projectors in the USA in May. The company divides the results into three categories: ‘pico and personal’, ‘mainstream’ and ‘4,000+ lumen’.
Asus’ S1 led the ‘pico and personal’ category for the second month in a row. Optoma’s ML550 came in fourth, but it was Aaxa that ruled the roost, with the LED Pico, P300 Pico and P4-X in the second-, third- and fifth-place spots.
The ‘mainstream’ section was topped by Sony’s VPL-HW40ES/B, with Epson’s Brightlink 595Wi and Powerlite 97H following in second- and fourth-place. NEC’s NP-M282X and Infocus’ IN114a came in third and fifth, respectively.
In the ‘4,000+ lumen’ category, Epson almost swept the results, with four of the top five models. The Powerlite 1980WU, 1985WU, G6470WU and 1940W came in first, third, fourth and fifth, respectively. The sole rival was Hitachi’s CP-WX4022WN, in second place.
