PMA Research has announced the top-selling projectors in North America in August. The company divides the results into three categories: ‘pico and personal’; ‘mainstream’; and ‘high end’.
Aaxa took three of the top five pico and personal models. The P4-X, P300 Pico and P2 Jr. were placed in first, third and fourth respectively. These models were all present in the ranking last month, at second, first and fourth, respectively. Optoma’s ML750 moved into second place and Asus’ S1 remained in fifth.
The mainstream segment was ruled by Epson, with the Powerlite 97 (first), Powerlite 98 (fourth) and Powerlite 99W (fifth). Infocus’ IN112a (second) returned to the list yet again, after dropping out for the first time in more than a year in July. ViewSonic’s PJD7820HD filled third place.
Epson also dominated the high-end category, with the Powerlite 1945W (first), Powerlite 1940W (second) and Powerlite Pro G6450WU (third). Optoma’s EH501 moved from fourth to fifth Sony’s VPL-FHZ55/W, a new entrant, came in fifth.
