Epson, Again, Rules PMA Results

PMA Research has announced the top-selling projectors in the USA in October. The company divides the results into three channels: ‘Retail’, ‘Pro AV’ and ‘Distribution (previously PMA tracked by device type rather than channel with ‘pico and personal’, ‘mainstream’ and ‘high end’ categories). The Retail category is made up of data from North American retailers and web resellers; Pro AV from dealers and integrators; and Distribution from AV and IT distributors.

Epson dominated the Retail channel – again – with the EX3220, VS230, Powerlite 955W and Powerlite 97 in first, second, fourth and fifth, respectively. ViewSonic’s PJD5134 took third place.

Hitachi had two models in the Pro AV section, with the CP-X2530WN and the CP-EX250N in first and third. Epson’s Powerlite 97, Powerlite 98 and Powerlite 580 took the second, fourth and fifth spots.

InFocus had the first and fifth place spots in the Distribution channel, with its ever-reliable IN112a and IN114a. NEC’s NP-VE281X, NP-M282X and NP-M322X filled in the second, third and fourth spots.
