Eizo Sees Healthcare and Creative Displays Grow

Specialist display maker, Eizo Corp, published its results for the last fiscal year to March 2022. Sales were up 13.4% and GP up 16.2% to 35.6%. Operating income was up from 10.4% to 13.0%. Most of the boost was from healthcare, which was up 18.5% on fiscal 2020/21 with steady demand. Sales for creative work displays were up 14.5% as HDR demand increased in Europe and content creation also increased in China and the US.

For the next year, sales in business, creative and healthcare are expected to grow along with amusement.

The firm continues its development of value added services and software and said that it took part in a demonstration of a fully autonomous ship project.

What We Think

I hadn’t spotted the work on autonomous ships before! Eizo has specific products for use in ships. These have to be able to operate at very low levels of brightness to ensure that they don’t affect the night vision of users, among other special requirements. (BR)
