Eizo has launched a new product in its DuraVision range of monitors for industrial applications. The new DuraVision FDS1921T has a 19″ touch panel for use in factories, hospital clean rooms, and public access areas. Dual touch operation is supported through a surface acoustic wave technology (SAW) which has no optical effect on image quality and is supported directly on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. The front surface is protected with a 7H (Mohs scale) reinforced glass and an optional pen is available.
The monitor uses a 1280 x 1024 (5:4) TN panel with LED backlight and brightness is adjustable from 0.5 cd/m² to a high brightness of 450 cd/m². Contrast is 1,000:1 and response time is 5ms. Inputs are DisplayPort, DVI-D, and D-Sub VGA.
The company said that it would have a significant presence at the forthcoming Medica conference in Duesseldorf (November 16 – 19).
