This week we are highlighting LCD Public Displays in the 65″ Full HD category covering sizes 65″ to 69.99″ with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are six brands featured in the advertising. Samsung is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, NEC Displays is second and Philips is third. The ranking is the same in Germany. In France, Samsung is top with NEC Displays in second and Philips in third while in the UK, NEC Displays is top with Philips in second and Samsung in third.
Over the three countries, Philips takes the top position with the BDL6520EL followed by NEC Displays’ MultiSync E654 in second and Samsung’s ED65D in third. In France, the Philips BDL6520EL is top followed by Samsung’s ED65D in second and NEC Displays’ MultiSync E654 in third. In Germany, Samsung’s MD65C leads with NEC Displays’ MultiSync E654 in second and Samsung’s DM65D in third. The three leading models in the UK were the Philips BDL6520EL, NEC Displays’ MultiSync E654 and NEC Displays’ MultiSync V652.
The average dollar price was down 24% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 37% YoY, while in Germany it was down 21% and in the UK it was down by 22%. The minimum price in April for a 65″ Full HD LCD public display was $2,209.69 excluding tax.
