This week we are highlighting LCD Public Displays in the 55″ Full HD category covering sizes 53.5″ to 59.49″ with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are nine brands featured in the advertising. NEC Displays is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, Samsung is second and LG is third. The ranking is the same in the UK. In France, Samsung is top followed by NEC Displays in second and Philips in third while in Germany, Samsung is top followed by LG in second and Iiyama in third.
Over the three countries, NEC Displays takes the top two positions with the MultiSync E554 and the MultiSync P553 followed by Iiyama’s ProLite LH5563S in third. In France, Samsung takes the top two positions with the DB55D and the ED55D with NEC Displays’ MultiSync P553 in third. In Germany, Iiyama’s ProLite LH5563S is top followed by NEC Displays’ MultiSync V552 in second and LG’s 55WT30 in third. In the UK, the three leading models were NEC Displays’ MultiSync E554, NEC Displays’ P553 and Samsung’s MD55C.
The average dollar price was down 12% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 6% YoY, while in Germany it was down 22% and in the UK it was down by 5%. The minimum price in August for a 55″ Full HD LCD Public Display was $1,480.83 excluding tax.
