This week we are highlighting Public Displays in the 40″ and 42″ Full HD LCD category with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are eight brands featured in the advertising. NEC Displays is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, LG is second and Samsung is third. In France, Samsung leads with LG in second and Philips in third. In Germany, LG leads with Samsung in second and NEC Displays in third and in the UK, NEC Displays leads with Samsung in second and LG third.
Over the three countries, NEC Displays takes the top position with the MultiSync E424 followed by Iiyama’s ProLite LE4262S in second and Samsung’s ME40A in third. In France, Samsung is top with the ME40A followed by Philips’ BDL4252EL in second and Samsung’s ED40D in third. In Germany, LG’s 42WS50MS-B is top with NEC Displays’ MultiSync E424 in second and LG’s 42WS10 in third. In the UK, NEC Displays’ MultiSync E424 is at the top, ahead of Iiyama’s ProLite LE4262S in second and NEC Displays’ MultiSync P403 in third.
The average dollar price was down 16% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 10% YoY, while in Germany it was down 21% and in the UK it was down by 11%. The minimum price in October for a 42″ Full HD Public Display was $565.23, excluding tax.
