This week we are highlighting Public Displays in the 40″ and 42″ Full HD LCD category with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are 10 brands featured in the advertising. NEC Displays is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, Samsung is second and LG is third. The ranking is the same in the UK. In France, NEC Displays is top followed by Samsung in second and Philips in third and in Germany, Samsung leads with NEC Displays in second and LG in third.
Over the three countries, NEC Displays takes the top two positions with the MultiSync V423 and the MultiSync P403 with Samsung’s ED40D in third. In France, NEC Displays’ MultiSync V423 is top followed by Samsung’s ED40D in second and NEC Displays’ MultiSync E424 in third. In Germany, LG’s 42WS50MS-B is top followed by Iiyama’s ProLite LE4262S in second and NEC Displays’ MultiSync V423 in third and in the UK, the three leading models were NEC Displays’ MultiSync V423, NEC Displays’ MultiSync P403 and Samsung’s ED40D.
The average dollar price was down 20% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was down 31% YoY, while in Germany it was down 19% and in the UK it was down by 15%. The minimum price in April for a 42″ Full HD Public Display was $488.82, excluding tax.
