This week we are highlighting Public Displays in the 40″ and 42″ Full HD LCD category with 1920 x 1080 resolution. There are 10 brands featured in the advertising. Samsung is at the top of the PageShare for the combined three major countries, NEC Displays is second and LG is third. The ranking is the same in France. In Germany, Samsung leads with LG in second and NEC Displays in third and in the UK, NEC Displays leads with Samsung in second and ViewSonic third.
Over the three countries, Iiyama takes the top position with the ProLite LE4262S with NEC Displays taking the next two positions with the MultiSync X401S and the MultiSync E424. In France, Samsung is top with the MD40C folowed by Philips’ BDL4252EL in second and Samsung’s PE40C in third. In Germany, NEC Displays’ MultiSync X401S is top with the Samsung PE40C in second and the NEC Displays MultiSync P403 in third. In the UK, ViewSonic’s CDE4200-L is at the top, ahead of NEC Displays’ MultiSync E424 in second and Iiyama’s ProLite LE4262S..
The average dollar price was down 6% year on year over the three countries. The average dollar price in France was up 17% YoY, while in Germany it was down 10% and in the UK it was down by 6%. The minimum price in August for a 42″ Full HD Public Display was $608.83, excluding tax.
