Located in the heart of Dorset, celebrated centre for the arts Lighthouse has unveiled a cutting edge digital transformation as part of a £1m refurbishment in preparation for its 40th birthday.
The theatre’s facilities have been completely transformed, with systems integrator Audio Visual Connections replacing all of the existing signage with state-of-the-art digital displays all around the building including the first UK install of LG’s 86-inch UltraStretch displays.
In the main entrance hall, customers are met by the stunning 86-inch LG displays which are mounted adjacent to one another. Rendered in native 4K, the screens offer the ultimate viewing experience producing crisp visuals and incredibly fine detail even in high ambient light.
Both displays are split-screen capable with minimal bezels that can display up to four simultaneous images creating superb images with absolute blacks and extremely vivid colours.

Each display utilises onboard digital signage software and can be operated remotely due to the network setup. Our team installed both 86-inch LG displays in less than a day, providing a high quality finish to the lobby.”
Powered by Allsee digital signage boxes, the displays run bespoke promotional content for the theatre, including advertising for productions, vendors and show times information.
