Digitimes Research has estimated that global demand for public information displays (PID) of 32″ and above will reach 7.3 million units in 2021, growing 61% compared to 2017.
Public information displays come in indoor and outdoor variants. Indoor PIDs are seen mostly in aiports, buses, trains, indoor transport hubs and retail stores, whereas outdoor PIDs are designed to withstand harsher conditions so they can be used in environments like train and bus stations, bus stops and smart city devices like information kiosks.
