Deluxe today announced the debut of its new colour grading environment, Stage One. The theatre is equipped with projection hardware, as well as colour grading, audio and editorial systems. Located in Deluxe Audio Seward at Hollywood’s Glen Glenn Sound building, the 372 m² space features screens, projectors and audio equipment, among other amenities.
The facility features a 13.7m × 6.6m RealD Ultimate Screen and a 12.6m x 6.8m Stewart Filmscreen SnoMatte 100 screen and can accommodate the latest display monitors, allowing production teams to view content in whatever format is needed throughout production.
The space is also equipped with two Christie Dolby Vision Eclipse laser projectors, capable of providing 108cd/m² brightness standard as well as high-frame-rate and UHD resolution; a Barco DP4K-P reference projector for theatrical grading at 48cd/m² in UHD resolution; and a Barco DP4K-32B projector for RealD stereo theatrical grading at up to 48cd/m² in UHD resolution.
Available colour grading and editorial systems include Blackmagic Resolve, Autodesk Lustre and Flame and Filmlight Baselight. Stage One is located at in California, United States and is already being used in production.
