Delta Electronics Inc., power supply maker and energy management solution provider, announced its financial results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2018 with consolidated revenues of NT$50.8 billion ($1.71 billion), an increase of 3.8%, compared to NT$48.9 billion ($1.64 billion) in Q1 2017. Net profit of the company in Q1 2018 was NT$2.78 billion, ($94 million) a decrease of 31%, compared to NT$3.9 billion ($130 million) in Q1 2017.
The chairman of Delta Electronics said that the company saw weak demand for power supplies for notebooks, desktops and smartphones and the appreciation of the Taiwan currency also weakened the first-quarter results.
