Cynora, a developer of thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials, has extended its joint development agreement with LG Display for the commercialisation of TADF emitters in OLED displays, including a high-efficiency deep-blue emitter material. The company first completed development of a sky-blue emitter in the spring of 2017 and samples of its new green materials have been sent to OLED manufacturers. LG Display and Samsung — which also has a joint development agreement with Cynora — joined the company as shareholders in 2017.
