CY Vision and Mojo Vision have announced a partnership to integrate MicroLED technology into heads-up displays (HUDs) for the automotive sector. CY Vision will adopt Mojo Vision’s MicroLEDs to develop AR-enabled HUDs with AI and 3D imaging capabilities. Sandeep Ohri, CEO of CY Vision, pointed to the projected growth of the HUD market, with estimates suggesting it could surpass $10 billion by 2034.
The partnership is, on paper, an opportunity builder for both companies. CY Vision has had some success in establishing a name for itself in the automotive sector, but the market is getting more competitive. Jumping into MicroLEDs should give CY Vision some additional tech resources, new products, and new messaging. Mojo Vision, like most of the MicroLED tech companies, is working hard to get real design wins and application of its technology. At least it is better than AR and VR.
